1:35 KTO Rosomak - Polish APC
KTO Rosomak is a Polish wheeled armored personnel carrier (KTO) produced under the license of the Finnish Patria company since 2003 at the plant in Siemianowice Śląskie. The first vehicles entered service in 2005. The basic version of the vehicle is armed with a 30mm ATK Mk44 cannon and a 7.62mm UKM2000C machine gun in the Hitfist 30 turret. The KTO Rosomak is built in an 8x8 all-wheel drive system. It is powered by a Scania D1 12 turbocharged diesel engine with a capacity of 490HP, which allows the Rosomak, weighing about 22 tons, to accelerate to 100 km / h (on the road). The crew consists of 3 people, and the landing force is up to 8 soldiers. Vehicles serving in Afghanistan were very often landed down to 6 soldiers. KTO Rosomak vehicles are used in the 17th Mechanized Brigade from Międzyrzecz and the 12th Mechanized Brigade from Szczecin. On the basis of the Rosomak APC, in 2012 a prototype of the Rak self-propelled mortar was created, which since 2017 has been supplying units of the Polish army. The basic version of the vehicle is also undergoing modernization tests, mainly by: installing the remotely controlled ZSSW-30 turret, adding the Spike LR ATGM or installing new internal communication systems. The Polish Armed Forces (in stock, under repair or on order) have approx. 670 copies of this vehicle.
