BMW R12 was the most popular german motorcycle in II World War. In the period 1936-42, 36000 of these motorcycles were produced. However, he starts his career before the war as a civilian motorcycle, later modified for service in Wehrmacht and other german army formations. Version armed with MG-34 machinegun was served as a support unit. BMW R12 participated in fights in almost all theatres of war except the Pacific. A lot of BMW’s today are in collectors' hands and still driving.
