1:35 Soviet heavy tank KV-1 Model 1942 Simplified Turret
Named after the Soviet Minister of Defense Kliment Voroshilov, the KV-1 tank was known for its extremely thick armor that made it immune to the 37 mm anti-tank guns mainly used by the German army in the first months of their invasion. The KV-1 is so well protected that it doesn't even miss most German tank guns unless they maneuver to the back where it is more vulnerable. KV-1 moves with difficulty due to its huge mass with a speed of no more than 25 km/h. Weighing 45 tons, the KV-1 can only cross rivers with very strong bridges. It is equipped with a 76 mm gun, which is no better than that of the lighter T-34 tank. Although a formidable and powerful fighter, these limitations eventually led to production being discontinued in 1943.
