1:72 Seige Machines Kit No.1
Throwing machines have been used to lay siege to enemy fortresses since ancient Greece and until they were replaced by cannons. For all their imperfections, they were a very formidable tool for destroying enemy fortifications. Ballista, throwing arrows and spears at the enemy, was very dangerous for the enemy garrison, especially powerful ballistas hit much further and stronger than bows. At the same time, they were not very suitable for destroying walls - the arrows simply bounced off the walls. A catapult could cause much more harm to the besieged, throwing huge stones and not only hitting the defenders of the fortress, but also destroying their fortifications.
