Panzerkampfwagen IV or just Panzer IV, abbreviated The Pz.Kpfw.IV (transliterated: Panzerkampfwagen, lit. translation "armored fighting car") was one of the most widespread German tanks used by the Wehrmacht in World War II.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F2 – G was fitted with a 75-mm gun KwK 40 of the Rheinmetall-Borsig company with a barrel length of 43 caliber (3473 mm) and a weight of 670 kg. Vertical aiming is within –10° to +20°. The shutter is vertical, wedge-shaped, and the trigger is electric. The ammunition set includes smoke (weight 6.21 kg, V initial velocity 455 m/s), high-explosive fragmentation (5.73 kg, 450 m/s), armor-piercing (6.8 kg, 385 m/s) and cumulative (4 .44 kg, 485 m/s) projectiles.
