The T-34 is a medium tank that entered service with the Red Army in 1940. It was first produced at the Kharkiv Locomotive Plant, Kharkiv, Ukraine. It was among the main Soviet tanks in World War II. In general, over 40,000 tanks were produced during the war. The T-34 is the second most produced tank in the world after the T-54/T-55. It remained in service in some countries until the end of the 1990s.
- T-34 Model 1943 (German designation T-34/76D,E and F) – The tank is armed with a 76.2 mm F-34 gun, a cast hexagonal turret with two seats.
This kit from Border Models is an entirely new mold! It can be built as either the T34E or T34-76 version, and it includes movable tracks plus a movable suspension with a metal spring. Various accessories are included, as are photo-etched parts; a metal barrel is included as a first-release bonus part, and the first release of this kit will also be packaged in a wooden box! (Later releases of this kit will not have the metal barrel or wooden box package.)
