1:350 Russian Battle Cruiser "Borodino"
The Borodino battleship is the lead ship among the 5 battleships of the Borodino class, which had been intended to be the backbone of the Pacific Ocean Fleet. In the battle of Tsushima in May 1905 against the Imperial Japanese Fleet, the Borodino, having superseded the wrecked Imperator Alexander III ship, led the battle group virtually until the end of the day. The commander maneuvered, attempting to cover the damaged flagship and carry out the Admiral's order to lead the squadron for a break-through to Vladivostok. Seriously damaged by a 305-mm Japanese shell, which hit the bow turret of the Borodino causing ammunition to explode. The battleship turned and sunk with only one survivor out of 866 men crew.
