1:72 Soviet Anti-Tank team
PTRD anti-tank gun was designed in 1941. It was one of the most numerous (and famous) anti-tank infantry weapons of the Red Army. Infantrymen armed with these guns were called "tank hunters". Although unable to pierce the thick front armor of certain German tanks, the gun could be effectively concealed to fire at vulnerable side plating. The PTRD gun was easy to manufacture, so a large number of troops armed with these guns were raised relatively quickly. Tank hunter teams played an important role in several battles of the first half of the war, including the battle for Moscow and the battle for Stalingrad.
