With the H0 model of the electric locomotive Vectron of the FS Mercitalia in epoch VI, PIKO is fulfilling the wishes of PIKO fans, who are both plant operators and collectors of models Based on the most modern railway technology.
With the Vectron, PIKO supplies a high-precision model that has numerous extras based on a solid zinc die-cast frame and is equipped with tried and tested PIKO standards. The tried and tested PIKO motor ensures excellent running properties with two large flywheels. The pulling power of the locomotive, which is driven by all four axles, is increased by two traction tires, which sit diagonally to each other on the axles running on the inside of both bogies. The head and tail lamps are illuminated by LEDs, the red or white of which changes with the direction of travel.
The outwardly elegant appearance of this model includes a precisely reproduced technical “roof landscape” and carefully detailed bogies with prototypical wheel disc profiles.
