1:72 Soviet Anti-Aircraft Gun with Crew
Anti-aircraft guns were first developed during World War I. During the pre-World War II period, there was an opinion that a gun should be universal, i.e. capable of firing at both air and ground targets. Soviet army command didn’t support this view, however, Soviet anti-aircraft guns’ construction allowed firing at a low angle. During World War II, the practice has shown, that the theory was actually right. In various defensive operations, from the battle for Moscow in 1941 to the Battle of Kursk in 1943 Soviet anti-aircraft guns were equally efficient against enemy tanks and enemy planes.
