1:35 German Telemeter KDO Mod.40 w/Sd.Anh 52 Trailer (Kommandogerat 40)
Kommandogerät 40 (in short: Kdo.Ger.40) is the German central apparatus used to direct the fire of anti-aircraft artillery from the Second World War. The curb weight of the device at the combat position was about 1,600 kilograms. It was able to detect a target at an altitude of up to 12,000 meters over a distance of 1,200-18,000 meters.
Kommandogerät 40 was developed at the Zeiss-Ikon AG plant in Dresden, and its first copies appeared as early as 1937, but the device began to be used on a larger scale in 1941. The device used the Em-4m-R40 rangefinder to target the target, then calculated the guidance parameters, i.e. the angle of raising the barrels, the direction of fire and the relevant data for the time fuse. Information was transferred directly to individual departments via a special cable. The Kdo.Ger.40 staff consisted of five people, and the Sd.Anh.52 semi-trailer was most often used to transport the device. The Kommandogerät 40 was most often used with 88 mm guns (e.g. Flak 18 or 36) and 105 mm guns (e.g. Flak 38 and 39).
