The Ju 87, Junkers 87 or Pike (full German name Junkers Ju 87) is a German dive bomber widely used by the Luftwaffe in World War II, one of the iconic fighting machines of the German Blitzkrieg. In fact, "Stuka" is not the name of the bomber, but an abbreviation of the German Sturzkampfflugzeug - "dive bomber". However, upon entering service with the Bulgarian Air Force during the Second World War, the aircraft was given the name "Pike".
