1:35 Soviet artillery tractor STZ-5
The serial production of the STZ-5 artillery tractor-tractor (STZ-NATI-2TV) was mastered in 1937 at the Stalingrad Tractor Plant (STZ). The endurance of the tractor was not in doubt - it twice (in November-December 1935 and in March-April 1939) made non-stop runs Stalingrad - Moscow and back without breakdowns and unacceptable wear. The STZ-5 tractor was the most widespread means of mechanical traction in the artillery of the Red Army. Before the start of the Great Patriotic War, 3438 tractors of this type were produced, their production continued after the start of the war until the breakthrough of the German infantry into the territory of the Stalingrad Tractor Plant in August 1942. A total of 9944 STZ-5s were produced.
