The VT1 was planned as a successor to the Leopard 1 in West Germany in the 1970s, and is a prototype of a turret-type main battle tank equipped with two prototype guns.
The VT1-2 is a vehicle that upgrades the engine of the VT1-1 manufactured in 1974 with a supercharger and is equipped with a 120mm sliding cannon equipped with an automatic loading device.
