1:35 German Horses Drawn Large Field Kitchen Hf.11 (two horses and one figure, one dog)
The need for a large field kitchen can be traced back to 1908, when the German army was expanding before World War I. By 1913, two new, modern field kitchens were put into service, the Large Field Kitchen Hf.11 and the Small Field Kitchen Hf. 12. Both were in use during the war and into the late 1930s. Before the Second World War, the Hf. 11 underwent a revision: chimney, wheels, tow hooks, and storage compartments were revised. The Hf.11 consisted of a front carriage for transporting food and the actual field kitchen behind it. Both were made of wood with metal profiles and were moved by two or four draft horses. With the Hf. 11 it was possible to supply 225 soldiers. The field kitchens were known to the troops as goulash cannons.
