1:700 Japanese Light Cruiser Isuzu - Waterline Series
This is a plastic model assembly kit of Isuzu, a 5500 ton class light cruiser of the Japanese Navy, which was completed in 1920 as the second ship of the Nagara class. The model has been reproduced after being renovated as an air defense cruiser from January to September 1945, at the end of the Pacific War. The sharply finished twin 12.7cm high-angle guns, triple 25mm anti-aircraft guns, and radars mounted on the bridge and mast enhance Isuzu's presence as an air defense cruiser. It would be interesting to use the model to explore Isuzu's life, which changed over the 22 years from her birth until she sank in April 1945 after being attacked by a U.S. submarine.
★Total length when completed: 200mm
