1:700 Japanese Light Cruiser Abukuma - Water Line Series
Completed in 1920 as the 6th ship of the 5,500 ton class light cruiser Nagara class. She is a plastic model assembly kit of Abukuma, who participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor and also succeeded in the Kiska Island evacuation operation, which was called ``Miraculous Operation.'' Her hull is split into left and right parts, and details on her side are realistically reproduced. Her bow, which is the only one of the Nagara class with a double curve, is also a highlight. The delicately finished bridge structure and masts are modeled after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The seven 14cm main guns and catapults can be rotated even after completion. Since Abukuma served as a direct guard for the aircraft carrier task force during the attack on Pearl Harbor, it would be interesting to collect the escort fleet and compare it with the same 5500 ton class Kuma-class and Nagara-class ships.
★Total length when completed: 230mm
