1:35 KV-1 mod. 1940 Soviet Heavy Tank
Historical reference: A prototype of the new tank was manufactured at the Leningrad Kirov Plant (LZK) in August 1939, and in February 1940 mass production of KV tanks began there. The KV was a truly innovative design that embodied the most advanced ideas: an individual torsion bar suspension, reliable anti-ballistic armor, a diesel engine and a powerful 76-mm L-11 universal gun. Separately, these solutions have been repeatedly implemented before, but the KV-1 was the first combat vehicle to embody their combination. The very first meetings of the Germans with the KV brought them into a state of shock. So, one single KV from June 24, 1941 delayed the offensive of the entire 6th Panzer Division of the Wehrmacht for two days, blocking an important road in a swampy area near the Baltic town of Raseinia. The tankers died, but destroyed 12 trucks, 4 anti-tank guns, an 88-mm anti-aircraft gun, several tanks and several dozen enemy soldiers. It turned out that under no circumstances did the KV make its way from German tank guns, and anti-tank artillery was not afraid of it either. Later versions of the KV-1 (1941) were armed with the more efficient F-32 system instead of the L-11 cannon. A set of plastic parts for assembling one tank model.
