1:700 U.S. Aircraft Carrier Hornet CV-8

Completed in 1941 as the third Yorktown-class carrier and the U.S. Navy's eighth carrier overall, the Hornet took part in many operations before succumbing to enemy attack in the South Pacific in 1942. She is most famous for acting as the base for the Doolittle Raid in April 1942, launching B-25 bombers to attack Japan. This model depicts the ship as she appeared during that operation and even includes parts for sixteen B-25 bombers. With a high level of detail throughout, including the elevator walls, modellers can really enjoy creating a diorama of the launch scene. Completed Length: 350mm
